Romeo Reyes Presents: The 1st Annual SF Nightlife Awards [VIDEO – WATCH]

Tuesday was the night for the who’s who in San Francisco to come out and honor each other while celebrating their scene. But it wasn’t easy, all of us was done by the vision of our very own Romeo Reyes…

The winners were in, and the people spoke. What I truly loved about this event was that there could of not been one single thing untrue about each nominee and winner within this award show. The people were able to voice their opinion early on by the process as follows:

  • Open nominations by anyone who followed Romeo Reyes.
    • Nominees were able to submit their favorite whomever via e-mail and the most nominations made it on the ballot.
  • Voting
    • All votes were recorded online as all participants were urged to promote their nominations and urge their followers to vote for them on the shared website.
  • Winners
    • All winners were chosen by most votes in their categories via online.

Now although there were a few that felt that they snubbed by nomination or voting tallies, in all actuality there is no one but ourselves to push blame on if you did not win or were nominated. But if you were nominated, as spoken very truthfully by the award show’s founder:

“San Francisco has the population of 900,000 people, you were 1 percent of the people who live here who were recognized in one way or another.”

Stir the pot with an amazing recipe and the outcome is a meal you can eat for years. Us at radiobassment.com would like to tip our hat off to Romeo Reyes as he devoted many sleepless nights on providing a platform recognizing the best within a scene inside of a city most of us on the show call home, San Francisco. The amount of support seen tonight should never halt because of the end of this award show for the time being. While all great ships rise amongst a rising tide – if this scene continues to support each other like it did on Tuesday night, San Francisco is only prone to see some of its biggest successes ahead within the nightlife industry.

Thank you Romeo, you inspired many of us tonight and we’re proud to be here in support.

For those who missed the show, let us fast forward for you and let you know what we were most excited about!

Our very own Brandon Fox took home the award for COMEBACK of THE YEAR. While he’s been recovering from a very violent bike accident back in august, Brandon has been working frivolously to get back in shape and regain the abilities not only to succeed but also to inspire many others that it aint never done unless you say its done. Resilience was recognized tonight.

In closing, not too long ago, we acquired one of the Bay Area’s biggest rising stars on the circuit and he has never ceased to amaze us every time he graces our airwaves. The Bassment’s own DJ IBARRA made us proud tonight and took home a very prestigious title of Rookie of The Year. Not bad youngster, let’s keep this going.

Be on the lookout for the 2nd annual SF Nightlife Award Show and also for Romeo Reyes’ next event on February 14th, 2018. RadioBassment.com will be keeping you posted!

Thank you Romeo Reyes, and congratulations to all of the winners tonight!
