What is happnin Bassment fam! So much to talk about this week, good, bad and the ugly.

For weeks now FYRE Fest has been headline news if you haven’t noticed. Ja Rule and his partner Billy McFarland keep taking L’s on this, and it doesn’t look like it’ll stop anytime soon. At this point there’s 6 different lawsuits, audio has leaked where FYRE Fest officials say no staff is getting paid, and pretty much all the acts scheduled to play were given advanced warning NOT TO SHOW UP.

Now, FYRE Fest founders are being investigated by the FBI, and could face a $300,000 fine in customs charges.

Shit is looking REAAAAL bad for FYRE Fest, but Ja Rule insists that 81% of FYRE Fest tickets for 2018 have been sold. We’ll see about that….

Mother’s Day was just a couple of weeks ago, so we gotta make sure we shout out all the mama’s, baby mama’s….and baby mamam’s mama. We also want to send our thoughts and prayers to the Shakur family. Tupac’s mother Afeni Shakur passed earlier this month and it shook the nation, as she is highly respected for her contributions to the community. RIP Mama Shakur.

All this in the wake of the new Tupac biopic, All Eyes On Me, many had hoped she would be around to watch the film in completion. There have been legal battles over the rights to the content, but it’s still set to release and fans are eager to catch the biopic come June 2017. Allhiphop.com released a short leak of the film this week, and you can watch it here.

For the first time since 2011, Insomniac Events presents Audiotastic in the Bay Area. This will be Insomniac’s replacement show for the recently canceled Beyond Wonderland Bay Area which normally takes place in September. The Audiotistic line up is a new combination of urban, trap, twerk edm. Definitely a different sound from past Beyond shows featuring big Electro House and Big Room banger acts like Dada Life, Hardwell, and Tiesto.

Regardless of the acts performing, it’s guaranteed to be LIT AF. Audiotistic takes place July 15th at the Shoreline Amphitheater. Tickets on sale Friday May 19th on Insomniac.com.

This past weekend Major Lazer performed at the Hang Out Festival in the Gulf Shores where the guys premiered a brand new song featuring Travis Scott and Quavo. The track called “Know No Better” is expected to release in 2 weeks. Shout out to Pritha for sharing her video!
