With everyone staying home, a lot of people have turned to watching DJs, producers, and other talent, live stream their work. Def Jam and our friends from Headliner Music Club & Zen have teamed up to bring you a live DJ battle! See the details below!

In an effort to provide special opportunities to the worldwide DJ community during this time, we’ve partnered with Def Jam Recordings for an Instagram Live DJ Battle Contest.

HMC’s own DJ Ease will host & co-judge the battle alongside special guest judges J Espinosa & DJ Ever. The finalists will compete in an Live DJ Battle on Headliner Music Club’s Instagram with 3-minute routines on Sunday, April 5th at 7pm PST. Three winners will be selected.

1st Place: $1,500 cash prize / Pair of kicks courtesy of Zen / Free 1-year membership to HMC
2nd Place: $500 cash prize / Free 6-month membership to HMC / HMC merch bundle
3rd Place: $250 cash prize / Free 3-month membership to HMC / HMC merch bundle

Rules To Enter:

1) Post a 45-second to 1-minute battle routine to your Instagram feed using music from the Def Jam Catalogue.

2) You must tag @defjam + @headlinermusicclub and use hashtag #HMCDefJam in the caption.

3) Submission deadline is Thursday, April 2nd at 5pm PST and finalists will be announced Friday, April 3rd at 5pm PST.

*The video must be live, no additional editing. Your profile must be public to participate, not private*
