CHESTER BENNINGTON OF LINKIN PARK DEAD BY SUICIDE

Today we say goodbye to a rock music legend of our generation. Chester Bennington, the front man of the rock group Linkin Park was found dead after committing suicide by hanging. This comes just months after his close friend Chris Cornell passed by the same method. Chester had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, and had been open about previous thoughts of suicide.

This loss is felt across all of the music industry as Linkin Park was beloved by so many people. Chance the Rapper, Lil Uzi Vert, Lupe Fiasco and more took to social media to send their condolences. Linkin Park is no stranger to Hip-Hop. If you remember, they collabed with Jay-Z in 2004 to create the “Collision Course” EP which included their hit mashup, Numb/Encore that peaked at number 20 on the Billboard 100.
